冬休み日記
Julian先生から
Hello students at Mike's!
Hope you're all enjoying your break. I'm staying in Tokyo for winter vacation this year, but it's been pretty eventful. I bought a very expensive high-end camera recently, so I've been going out downtown quite a bit to take pictures of the city. It's looking like a great investment - it's very fun to use, and my photos all come out looking really great. I think I might make more of a hobby out of this in the coming year, which I look forward to.
Aside from that, the things I've been up to are minor but fun. Eating at restaurants, exploring new places, doing some Karaoke, and spending time with good friends. We had a party on the 29th with some students from my Japanese class at OPA. The mix of English/Japanese/Korean conversation with hints of French and Thai was definitely entertaining. A very memorable addition to my list of Tokyo experiences.
Anyway, I wish you all a Happy New Year and am excited about seeing you all again soon. Until then, take care and have a great vacation!

Happy New Year to Everybody ...
During the Holidays, the Thompson family is traveling...
Hanna is going to Indonesia, and Hisako and I are going to Niigata, as usual.
We had a nice Christmas present exchange here, I gave my daughter a remote control helicopter!
We've had friends visit us and some puppy dogs came here to visit our dog Wall-e.
After year-end cleaning, I had some time to watch music videos on the Internet and to learn some new songs.
Hope to share some more music with everybody at Mike's English School in 2012!
Sincerely,
Jeremy先生から
Greetings and Happy New Year! I hope that everyone is enjoying a nice time with their friends and family. I am currently traveling to Kyoto for sightseeing. Back in Tokyo, I plan to visit several museums during my vacation. I wish everyone the best of holidays and I can't wait to see you in 2012.
Sincerely yours,

Hello all and Happy New Year!
Over the break I have been going to a few new places in Tokyo, which has been a lot of fun. I can't believe that the weather has been so nice...definitely not what I'm used to in Canada. I spent Chritmas day in Shinjuku, mostly looking at the Christmas lights, shopping in Takashimya and then having Christmas dinner with Julian and Jeremy.
On Boxing Day, which is the day after Christmas, Julian and I went to Omotesando to check out the Christmas lights there, and to go shopping yet again. I have been shopping so much over the break and surprisingly still haven't bought anything! Well, except for a Nintendo 64...Mario Party over the holidays, what could be better?
I was lucky enough to go to a party a few nights ago with people from various countries, all celebrating together...it was interesting because the common language was Japanese (yay for me)! It was pretty fun getting to know some other foreigners and eat some of their native cuisine.
All in all, it has been a good holiday, but I am excited to be getting back to work and to find out what you all did over your winter breaks.

I would like to thank all of the students at Mike's for a great first few months at Mike's! You have all been so great and have made me feel so welcome. It has been a great experience so far and I look forward to many great things to come! Even though I am in Michigan for the holidays, I still feel that my heart belongs at Mike's and in Tama. I hope that you are all enjoying your holiday vacation and spending quality time with your family and friends. Make sure you have great stories to tell so we can share our experiences with each other. I know that when I return to Mike's, I will return to an amazing job with my amazing students. Have a safe and happy holiday season! See you soon!
