Mike's Activities / Guacamole

The cooking class was a great hands on learning activity
that was a lot of fun! Everybody got a chance to
participate in the cooking process and learned how to make
a quick, easy and delicious new dish. And although there
were students of all levels of English in the class,
everybody learned some new words and phrases.

April先生のバイキングクラスはメキシコ料理「Guacamole」。
レベル２〜５まで６名のバイキング生が参加しました。

Guacamoleの起源や歴史の紹介から始まり、実演の前にレシピの紹介。その中で、料理の際に使う英語のフレーズの指導はもちろん、日本ではあまりやらない計量の仕方、野菜の切り方、味付け、その他調理法などを紹介。
しっかりと行程を確認した後に、実際に料理を実演。
参加者にも実際に料理の行程に参加してもらい、最後は全員で試食会。おみあげも持ち帰ってもらいました。

資料を準備し、お手本を見せながら行程を進めたので、初級者から上級者まで楽しんだようです。
通常のレッスンでは味わえない、英会話レッスンと料理レッスンが融合したユニークな活動でした。 Masaharu
